The first segment in our video sit-down series with Senator Bill Ferguson who represents District 46 in the State Senate. District 46 includes South Baltimore, Downtown, Southeast Baltimore, and parts of Southwest Baltimore.
I’m glad you were able to get time with Mr. Ferguson, in my experiences he doesn’t respond to his constituent’s questions/concerns.

Very sorry to hear about your frustrating experience, “human1.” No excuses – constituent concerns are my top priority and I apologize if you felt that I did not address your issue satisfactorily. If I can still be helpful, please don’t hesitate to email me directly at bill@billforbaltimore.com. -Bill

Thank you for responding, but unfortunately the concern is long over and my message and follow-ups to you went unanswered. Luckily some of your colleagues who also represent me in Annapolis took the time out to talk to me.

Again, my genuine apologies. Would you be willing to send me the messages that you sent to my office so that I can figure out where our response process broke down? I’m always trying to restructure office operations to make sure we track every single constituent communication, and figuring out what went wrong would really help. Also, if you’d prefer to just email me your phone number, I can give you a ring tonight to talk through it if that’s easier. Thanks for considering it.

Thanks Bill, but I think at this point your efforts would best be served by making sure you are following up on any current and future communications from your constituents. It’s simply checking your email and responding accordingly.

human 1: I feel and share your pain. Consensus in my neighborhood (Locust Point) is that unless you “tweet” or “friend” our social networking wizard, you have little to no chance of being heard. Seems the good teachers have given us an empty suit. Oh well, only two more years of it.

I am glad the senator is on the side of education. I was however disappointed in his support for gay marriage. I believe same sex couples should have protection under the law to protect their interest. I do not believe the definition of marriage should be changed.

Seems like our newly elected rep ALWAYS has time for a video event. Too funny!
