Metallica, along with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat, will be rocking out at M&T Bank Stadium tomorrow night as part of its WorldWired tour. Setup for the concert has been underway and the area is getting into the spirit.
Hammerjacks, which hopes to begin construction in the next couple of months on its 48,000 sq. ft. music venue at 1300 Russell St. across the street from the stadium, is hosting a pre-party with 24-7 Entertainment in its parking lot and adjacent outdoor space underneath the Russell St. bridge.
The party will feature live music from CORE and Mountainwolf, and DJ Matt Davis will play Metallica music. The party will also feature ticket giveaways, food trucks, and drink specials.
When completed, the new Hammerjacks will feature a 2,500-person concert venue in a new building that will replace Paradox. The space can be modified down for smaller shows. The existing building facing Ostend St. will be renovated into a club/sports bar area that will feature smaller 300-person live music shows. An outdoor beer garden area will be constructed where the current connector building sits. The second story will features an additional club area, offices, and a private events space that leads to a rooftop deck. All of the sections of Hammerjacks will be connected.
Game, located a block from the stadium at 1400 Warner St., has large banners welcoming Metallica fans and is hosting a kickoff party from 3pm to 8pm. The event will have National Bohemian giveaways and feature DJ Costello of Bridge to Divide playing hard rock and metal music.
