Double Shooting at Horseshoe Casino Garage, Homicide Outside Pigtown Royal Farms

The following incident happened early Sunday morning in the Horseshoe Casino parking garage.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On January 29, 2017, at about 1:19 a.m., police were called to the 1500 block of Russell Street for a reported shooting.

Once at the scene, officers observed two adult male shooting victims. One victim was shot in the hand and the other victim was shot in the foot. Both victims are 21 years-old.

Medics transported the victims to area hospitals for treatment.

Citywide Shooting detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation.

The victims told detectives that an earlier verbal dispute with a group of men erupted again when they encountered each other. The two victims were shot during an altercation on the fourth floor level parking garage of the Horseshoe Casino.

The following incident happened on Friday night in the Royal Farms parking lot in Pigtown.

From Baltimore Police Department:

Southern District Homicide Investigation

On January 27, 2017, at about 7:39 p.m., a police officer heard gunfire in the 1800 block of Washington Boulevard.

The officer observed a 33 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds and a vehicle attempting to speed away from the scene. Police stopped the vehicle and the occupants inside have been detained for questioning.

A medic was summoned and transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Homicide detectives were summoned and assumed control of the investigation.
