Corso Facts:
Corso began making his entertaining end-of-show headgear pick of the team he thinks will win the game at the GameDay site, marking 20 years this season. Week 15 will be headgear number 290 for Corso, as he is 191-98 all-time in headgear picks. The phenomenon began on October 5, 1996, prior to the Ohio State-Penn State game in Columbus, Ohio, when he put on OSU’s “Brutus Buckeye” mascot head to show his pick to win the game – watch here.

  • He has put on Navy headgear three times – in each of the last two years’ wins over Army and he also represented Navy at the end of the show on November 11, 2012 – when it originated from the USS San Diego.
  • Corso has never picked Army.
  • He is 8-5 on headgear picks this year and has lost three of his last five.

‘The Bear’ College GameDay Fun Facts:

  • This is the third consecutive year GameDay has originated from the site of the Army-Navy game.
  • GameDay originated from West Point once – September 27, 2003 for the USF vs. Army game – but for the only time in history, the show from site had to be cancelled mid-show due to lightning. The game was played later that day and USF won 28-0.
  • GameDay has never originated from Annapolis.
