Hi there, my name is Diamond Blue and I’m 5 years old. I’m a friendly, social, well-mannered girl. I’m a VIP (very important pup) here at BARCS, because I’m a “teacher” in the doggie play groups and socialization sessions. What does all this mean you ask? It means that I LOVE other dogs, and I have some of the best social skills around. I’d do great in a home with a friend or two. A volunteer friend says this about me: “As soon as you start petting her, she’ll lean in and scoot around so you can scratch her hind quarters, ha! She has such a cute, feminine face and is very smart. I learned all this from taking her out in the Ravens tailgate crowd – she was great and not phased by the noise and all the people petting her.” I’m hoping this A+ behavior will help me find a home – please come to BARCS to meet me today!
Hi, I’m 7 year old Gucci Man! Everyone loves me here at BARCS – I quickly became a favorite. I’m happy-go-lucky, friendly, loving, and fabulous with other dogs. I love participating in play group and pack walks, and I even act as an assist dog while assessing other dogs. I’m a medium energy playmate. I was surrendered to BARCS when my family moved – they will tell you that I’m great with dogs and cats, and excellent with children. I can’t wait to find my forever home – please come to BARCS and meet me today!
Who needs a Romeo when you can have Mercutio?! I’m a super-affectionate, 2 year old guy – I love getting neck scratches and I’m happy being as close to you as possible. I love to take long walks to sniff around, and I have a happy and playful disposition. I know “sit” and I’m learning how to walk politely on my leash. I’m very treat-motivated, so that makes training fun for me – anything for a cookie! I’ve also been told that I’m gorgeous, with the most lovable eyes. Please come to BARCS to meet me today!
Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations. If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230. For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi. BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm. Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.
