Today we celebrated the completion of Thomas Johnson Elementary’s new outdoor reading and learning space! As a The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc. Library Project school, this space was designed to complement the indoor library. Parks & People, along with partners and volunteers, removed 3,000 sq. ft. of asphalt and planted 5 trees, 173 shrubs and perennials to help clean storm water runoff while adding a beautiful habitat to benefit students and butterflies alike! This project was made possible by Maryland Department of Natural Resources. ‪#‎Stormwater‬ #‎OutdoorLearning#‎GreenBaltimore‬
