Hi, I’m Van! I’m a happy 3 year old boy who is looking for his forever family. I love to go on walks with my human friends, and splash around in the pool in the play yard. I’m awesome with the other dogs in playgroup here at BARCS! I have an adorable puppy like playfulness. I’ve also been told that I’m quite handsome. Please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Hello, I’m Princess Miranda. The folks here say I’m awesome! I’m a bouncy, energetic, 1 year old girl that loves to play with the other dogs here. I have such good doggie manners that I help assess the other dogs. I also enjoy going for walks and hanging out with my human friends – I’d love to go on some adventures with you. Please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Hi I’m Maxman! I’m a 3½  year old boy that’s just as cute as can be – check out my adorable ears! The folks here say I’m such an awesome dog! I’m very easy going and happy. I’ve learned to walk nicely on my leash, and I’d just love to go on a nice long stroll with you. When I go for a walk I like to flop over to my back and wiggle for belly rubs! I know how to “sit” and will wait patiently for a treat. I take the treat very gently! I’m also housebroken. I have a lot of potential and I’m ready for my new home! Please come to BARCS and meet me today!

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact info@baltimoreanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.

They’re all so adorable. OMG, Princess Miranda, is there anything cuter than when a dog turns his or her head like that? Sweet.
